Yes, Craig Ferguson will be hosting the 2008 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Not only is he fully Scottish and recently American, but he just beat out Conan O’Brien in late night ratings for the first time ever.

No, I don’t understand why Lauren Conrad (LC of The Hills) and Perez Hilton (Queen of all Media…fat guy who blogs?) will be in attendance. Don’t get your typing fingers all ready; I do understand that celebrities are invited to the event. I just didn’t realize that the new definition of celebrity was attention whore. By these standards I have quite a few friends of the drama queen persuasion who should have been on the guest list. Are real celebrities refusing to fraternize with the big W? Was a 16 year old girl from McLean responsible for the guest list? In any case, I’ll be avoiding the Washington Hilton on April 26th. Sorry Craig, but your Weegie brilliance is no match for lc/prez annoyance.

Perez is going as the guest of some news org, I think Bloomberg? His fat fabulous ass did not get a personal invitation from W.
