Comedian George Carlin died in Los Angeles. He was 71. His best known work about “Seven Dirty Words You Can’t Say On Television” once took him to the Supreme Court, when his album was played over the radio. This bit became a milestone in a long career of not taking shit from no one and telling it like it is. Mr. Carlin will be missed and blogged about today. RIP.

Here’s a clip (NSFW):

Carlin also kept it way real in his appearance and behavior in the seventies, when most comedians were on Johnny Carson’s jock. Here’s a pic of him after being arrested in Milwaukee for performing “Seven Dirty Words You Can’t Say On Television”. What a tasteless pinko longhair….

Here’s another more recent clip of George Carlin calling out religion, and passing the torch to Bill Maher.
