Anheuser-Busch’s takeover by Belgian beer giant InBev prompts important questions about the fate of Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. Thus far InBev has pledged to sell off “noncore assets” which they have not yet named.

However, things are looking up for the theme park, which constitutes the majority of BG home James City County’s annual $6 million meal revenue and employs over 500 people. The park saw a 12.5% rise in visitors in 2007, the largest increase in the country!

I haven’t been this upset about a company merger since Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc. became Yum! Brands. Life is not fair. I really liked the Anheuser freedom eagle logo a lot better. When I twist my bicep it’s like the eagle’s mouth is moving…
There’s a Busch Gardens in Tampa. I went there once. It was the ultimate family adventure park offering an array of fascinating attractions based on exotic encounters with the African continent.
