“California” (Track 23): “It’s the theme from The O.C., only the best show EVER!”

$24.75…Seriously?

The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget this Sunday, August 17 at 10 p.m.

Sigh.

Isn’t it funny when people get all excited about things that aren’t actually happening? Y’know, like Jesus coming back. Speaking of Jesus, his foreskin makes an appearance in Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke, soon to be Clark Gregg’s Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke, soon to be my second favorite Palahniuk adaptation of my least favorite Palahniuk novel.

Red band trailer here.

Issac Hayes died. He was 65. I’m sick of writing about this sort of thing and I think we all know what he contributed to the world etc. So you should probably just check out this New York Times article on it.

Hey Arlington, good news. Read the flyer below for a high brow explanation of what to expect. All I know is I’ll be there and it should be a good time, see you there.

YES: BLACK DIAMOND HEAVIES NO: DC DISSAPOINTS by zzvvhh

DC showed it’s true blue and brown boring colors once again last night at the god-forsaken Red and Black, when literally no one showed up for the Black Diamond Heavies. It was a downright travesty of a show, which is never a surprise if you unfortunately have to find yourself at DC9, Red and Black or Rock N Roll Hotel.

The genius scientists over at Buddyhead have graced the world with an invaluable tool.  Dr. Wilhelm Von Schusterbauer has unleashed the Magnificent Pitchfork Tranlation Apparatus upon the world and now we can all get right to the point of those wordy reviews over there.  Unfortunately, it won’t stop the masses from swallowing a bunch of indie bullshit.

Apparently the Buddyhead gossip page is also coming back, which is awesome because I can’t wait to call Fred Durst up and ask him what happened to his mind.

When you’re as questionable a celebrity as Kid Rock is, sometimes you have to prove it to the public that u keeps it real. This can sometime mean beating the shit out of some dude in a Waffle House-esque establishment. Here is the lame security cam footage of Kid Rock damn near jumping out his white track suit to smash a fool with his crew.

“On one of the band’s more ambitious musical diversions, ‘One for the Cutters’, the guitars follow the lead of (no joke) a harpsichord while Finn relates the tale of a college girl who gets high a little too often and starts to party with townies– no new subject matter there, until she finds out the difference between them and her freshman hookups is a proclivity to stab people.”

Why oh why do townies always have such a bad reputation?

NEGATIVE PRESS: ROCK DOCS/BIOPICS-A SURE THING OR BORRRRING? by zzvvhh

Every Tuesday of every week until the record industry finally croaks, a ton of shit becomes available to purchase. This week, if you can find a record store, you should be able to cop a bunch of lame schwag ranging from half-assed reissues to Albert Hammond Jr. (Whatever, I’ll check it out). There is one item coming out tomorrow that I most definitely would/will buy, though I’m afraid I won’t feel the narcotic rush of an impulse buy.
