“California” (Track 23): “It’s the theme from The O.C., only the best show EVER!”

$24.75…Seriously?

The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget this Sunday, August 17 at 10 p.m.

Sigh.

Anyone who was born between 1980 and 1987, had cable growing up, and is currently stoned should be aware that iTunes just released a bunch of “classic” Nicktoons, including (but not limited to) Doug, Ahh! Real Monsters, Rugrats, and Rocko’s Modern Life. You’ll also find equally rad live action counterparts Clarissa Explains It All and Hey Dude online. It’s like six new ways to say “I’m 23, and I’m sad.”

Bernie Mac died today at the age of 50 due to complications from pneumonia. This comes as a shock to me, as I always had compared Bernie Mac to that of a strong Ox of a “King of Comedy”. Bernie came a long way from “Moesha” and his own “Bernie Mac Show” all the way to “Bad Santa” and the “Ocean’s Eleven” series. He was always funny and never a sell out. If I could somehow get the voice in my head to sound like his, I would.

NO: FIRST BUMMER STORY OF THE OLYMPICS by zzvvhh

Well, we just got through the spectacle that was the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and we already have, (as I suspected) our first bummer story. Apparently a Chinese man attacked two American tourists at the Drum Tower in Beijing and managed to kill one of them. He then threw himself from the building and died. No medals. Just shitty news.

Anyone else wanna place a bet one what the next controversial story/tragedy will be?

“I was cool. I was comfortable with it. I was definitely comfortable with it. It is what it is – normal stuff that happens. It’s crazy ’cause for me, it was normal. It was normal, but I know when I look back at it, when I see it, I’m gonna be like, ‘Damn! Look at this. This is crazy!’ I stun myself sometimes, I can’t even front.”

Me too, Bow. Meee tooo.

Sure, I LedOL at the promo for Dinosaur Fight Club (debuts tonight, 9/8C) during Shark Week the other night, but:

1) I was watching Shark Week at the time; does that give me the right?
2) It’s on The History Channel– legit.
3) The NY Times apparently liked it.
4) Ross would watch it.

The one girl nobody knows takes the title of her new film a little too literally at The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 premiere in New York. At least Rory looks cute.

So the new (yawn) animated (weren’t they all?) Star Wars movie “The Clone Wars” is coming out August 15th. If the animated Anakin is a better actor than Hayden Christensen, then I say he get the chance to star in some other feature films. What about animated Anakin in “Factory Girl” as Bob Dylan?

YES or NO: It’s Always Sunny in FX FX FX by rachels

Since Goldenfiddle just blogged about It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia it is not too late for us to talk about our feelings on a show that we just started watching 3 years in. OK here it goes:

What the fuck? Is this a complete rip-off of Curb or is it OK? Is it funny because there is shaky-cam? Or is there shaky-cam because it is funny? Is it endearing when Danny DeVito wears a toupee and is self-deprecating? Or a little sad? Etc.
